"SKAL International Foundation" est un organisme néerlandais de certification biologique dans tous les secteurs d'activité. Il surveille et examine dans le monde entier la production biologique/organique. Cette fondation donne le certificat de qualité "EKO", par le biais d'inspection (dans les fermes et usines) et de certification (analyse chimique de tissus, graines, ou autres produits). Elle produit des documents administratifs certifiant les produits biologiques. Par ailleurs, elle a été reconnue et autorisée en tant qu'organisation de certification et d'examen internationale dans les États membres de l'UE. Les produits certifiés "SKAL" ne peuvent pas contenir d'engrais ou de pesticides chimiques, de saveur, de couleurs ou d'agents conservateurs chimiques ou synthétiques. Les produits qui ont été certifiés par la "SKAL International", ne peuvent pas contenir d'organismes génétiquement modifiés (OGM).

"SKAL International" est la seule organisation de certification et d'examen qui donne le certificat de qualité "EKO" à l'extérieur de l'Union Européenne (UE). Enfin, le consommateur peut aisément reconnaître un produit examiné par la fondation, grâce au symbole de qualité "EKO".

Les pigments et le coton ont étés contrôlés et certifiés par les laboratoires SGS pour la qualité de résistance au lavage à 40°.

The FSC was created in 1993, in the dynamics of the second Earth Summit in Rio (June 1992) by;
• forest owners,
• companies in the wood industry,
• social groups and associations (NGOs) for the protection of the Environment.
The first goal of the FSC is to constructively encourage socially, ecologically and economically responsible forest management initiatives, by making them visible and credible through a label affixed to products from certified forests. The FSC logo signals to the public a product corresponding to clear, transparent specifications verified by independent certifiers, with the support of one of the largest environmental NGOs (WWF and Greenpeace). It thus allows the consumer or the public to identify wood and its derivative products or products from a forest benefiting from forest management that respects the principles of sustainable development as defined in Rio in June 1992, that is to say:
• ecologically adapted,
• socially beneficial and
• economically viable.
The FSC has endeavored to offer buyers and the public the maximum guarantees of credibility.
FSC Principles and Criteria:
The FSC Principles and Criteria apply to all the forests on the planet: tropical, temperate and boreal, whether ancient, secondary or plantation.
The 10 FSC principles cover the following themes:

3 Rights of indigenous peoples.
4 Rights of workers and relations with communities.
5 Forest resources.
6 Impact on the environment.
