Andre Van Lysebeth (1919-2004) was a leading teacher and propagator of yoga in Europe. He spent a long time in India, including Swami Sivananda Ashram in Rishikesh. He is the author of books becoming classics on yoga and trantra, all published in Flammarion, such as: I learn yoga, 1968, I perfect my yoga (1970), Pranayama, the dynamics of breath (1971), Ma yoga session (1977), Trantra, the cult of femininity, (1988), 2x7 days to rejuvenate (2002).
