To achieve a stable posture, sit on the front half of the zafu so that it tilts slightly forward. This incline helps the pelvis to align correctly and creates a balanced triangular base between the seat and the knees, allowing them to lower more easily towards the floor.
The side ends of the cushion support the backs of the thighs, reducing strain on the knees and their ligaments.
This Japanese meditation cushion is suitable for cross-legged, lotus, or half-lotus postures.
