Traditional Pooja bell in solid brass.
The Sudarshana Chakra is a rotating disc-shaped weapon, literally meaning disc of favorable vision, having 108 serrated edges, used by the Hindu god Vishnu or Krishna. The Sudarshana Chakra is usually depicted on the back right hand of Vishnu's front hands, who is also holding a shankha (conch shell), a Gada (mace) and a padma (lotus). 1] While in the Rigveda, the Chakra was the symbol of Vishnu as the wheel of time, in the late period, the Sudarshana Chakra appeared as an ayudhapurusha (anthropomorphic form), as a ferocious form of Vishnu, used for the destruction of demons. In Tamil, Sudarshana Chakra is also known as Azhwar Chakkrath (ring/circle of God).
The sound of this bell is very pure.
This bell is traditionally used in Indian temples for Pooja.
