Yoga is much more than gymnastics, it is a path of liberation from body and mind.
Towards the fourth century, a compiler of genius, Patanjali, presented, in a series of sutras, a synthesis, a rajaloga (royal yoga, which takes up the older teachings of India on yoga.) Foundation of yoga in India as in the West, this masterful text (yoga-sutra) is here exposed in all its richness and commented in depth.
Yoga is often reduced in the West to gymnastics, relaxation; this book reminds us that it is above all a path of liberation from the mind, emotions and limitations of the ego. The Royal Yoga of Patanjali exhibits a complete spiritual approach, a transformative alchemy geared towards the total fulfillment of the human being.
A little book that contains the essentials of yoga.
